words Hello addicts! How are you going your weekend? Today I bring you the review of required reading. I've read the novel for some time but now I hang the review.
I read this novel because I had to do to perform work of the institute. Perhaps not many know them. This is an autobiography in which Karrouch Laila tells of his life.
Laila is an eight-year old Moroccan girl who is forced to leave their country because of their economic situation. She and her family move to Spain (a city not known which is at any point in the book xD) with the hope that their quality of life improves.
There, Laila began her new life encountering many surprises (the differences between their culture and English), happiness (to see in Spain has a much more active than in Morocco) and problems (such as lack of money in his family).
2 - Characters.
begin with the character ... Laila
: At the beginning of the story girl Laila is a serious and somewhat stubborn, but that will evolve as obstacles to be found on the road. Ignore the comments about others and makes every effort to adapt. At the end of the book we find that Laila has become a strong woman and willing to get anything, fighting the best.
Hayat: is the older sister Laila. Girls have many fights and often Laila does not support it, but over time things smooth between them. Hayat is stubborn and heavy but also very responsible and cares for the perfection of his younger sisters.
Ahmed and Fadma: are the parents of Laila. At the beginning of the novel, Ahmed does not get enough money for family and why he Fadma and are so worried. Finally, Fadma is a job and everything improves. Both are affectionate, good with children and try to find the perfect there in Spain.
3 - positive and negative aspects.
prose This book has a very simple and easy understand that reading will be enjoyable and pleasant. There is a remarkable literary quality, but neither is it complete rubbish.
We can not ask much of the plot, since it is the life of a migrant child and their adaptation to Spain. What I liked about this novel is which opens our eyes to those who are ignorant of what the migrants suffer when forced to leave their country and must be attached to another.
4 - FINAL SCORE
3 / 5 Laila will not be the book of your life, but neither will disappoint. It will show the point of view of a migrant child and you will see that life is not so easy for everyone.
This is my opinion. But what is yours?
